Labor Day – September 4th
The arrival of warmer weather signals the advent of the summer season. Kids are out of school, college students return home, picnics and family gatherings are a common sight, and the abundant sunshine signals longer, more comfortable days. Accompanying this warmer climate is the smell of freshly mown lawns, and the fragrance of blooming plants and flowering vegetation. People typically take advantage of the warmer temperatures by spending more time outdoors. The crack of the bat, the splashing of ocean water, the hum of garden tillers, the screech of skateboard wheels on sidewalks, and the laughter of children in parks and playgrounds echo the sounds of the season.
It is definitely a time when plants and flower arrangements are always in high demand. Blooming plants feature such favorites as Hibiscus, Petunia, Zinnias, Geraniums, the Stella de Oro Daylily, potted Mums, Candytuft, Brown-Eyed Susan, the Purple Coneflower, Marigolds, and a favorite of almost everyone, Sunflowers.
Always in stock at your local florist as such choices as carnations, daisy pom-pons, roses, statice, baby’s breath, spider-mums, miniature carnations, snapdragons, and various lilies.
